Spider-Girl # 1 Kaare Andrews Foil Variant 2025 NM

Spider-Girl #1, released on June 11, 2025, introduces a new hero named Makawalu "Maka" Akana, a teenager from Hawaii. 

Origin and Storyline

• A Former Villain: Maka originally trained for three years under the lethal mercenary Bullseye. During this time, she operated as a villain named Funhouse.
• The Transformation: Maka is a mutant with power-absorbing abilities. During a confrontation with Spider-Boy, her powers malfunctioned, leaving her with a dark and "twisted" version of his arachnid abilities.
• A New Hero: Following Bullseye's betrayal, Maka moves to New York City to start fresh as the all-new Spider-Girl.
• The Conflict: In the debut issue, a clash with the villain Vermin reveals that a major Spider-nemesis is tracking her. The story explores her struggle with trust and whether she can truly leave her criminal past behind to become a hero.
