Spider-Man #22, published in May 1992, is a high-action issue titled "The Sixth Member". It is part five of the popular six-part storyline, "Revenge of the Sinister Six".

Written and illustrated by Erik Larsen, the issue features an massive crossover between Spider-Man and several other Marvel heroes: 

• The Heroic Alliance: Spider-Man teams up with a powerful, mismatched group of allies—the Incredible Hulk, Ghost Rider, Sleepwalker, and Deathlok—to storm a Hydra satellite facility being attacked by the Sinister Six.
• The Sinister Six's New Weapon: After the Sandman's earlier betrayal of the group, Doctor Octopus reveals their new, secret sixth member: the giant alien beast Gog.
• Key Moments:
• Spider-Man battles with a hairline fracture, wearing a "cybernetic cast" that is eventually blasted off, revealing his arm has fully healed.
• Sleepwalker is forced to leave the battle abruptly when his human host, Rick Sheridan, is woken up by his dog.
• The issue ends on a cliffhanger as Gog joins the fray against the heroes.
