Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse # 1, released on May 14, 2025, initiates a multiversal war where the Spider-Verse and Venomverse collide, fighting for their very existence. The conflict is orchestrated by two cosmic entities: the Web-Heart (representing the Web of Life and Destiny that connects all spiders) and the Hive-Mind (representing the collective consciousness of the symbiotes). The entities set up a competition presented as a "game" with several "rounds" to determine the winner. 

• The First Round: Teams from both sides are sent to a dangerous jungle location with the goal of touching a pillar representing the opposition. Failure to reach the pillar means elimination from the multiversal battle.
• A Familiar Duo: The issue opens with the 616-A Peter Parker and a variant of Eddie Brock (Venom) reflecting on the parallel paths their lives have taken, despite their different choices and outcomes. This Eddie Brock variant is similar to the original but seeks to atone for past actions.
• The Stakes: The issue highlights the weight of previous multiversal conflicts and sets a high-stakes tone, implying massive casualties on both sides are likely as the "war" progresses.
