Spirits of Vengeance: Spirit Rider # 1 Random Stack Variant 2021 NM

Spirits of Vengeance: Spirit Rider # 1 August 2021 is a oversized one-shot that formally rebrands Kushala (formerly the "Demon Rider") into the Spirit Rider and establishes her as a cornerstone of Marvel's supernatural mythos. 

"Rage of a Dead World" 

• The Mission: Doctor Strange recruits Kushala to save Johnny Blaze, whose soul is being corrupted by a malevolent entity that causes his Ghost Rider form to go on destructive, mindless rampages.
• The Soul Walk: Kushala uses her unique "Riding the Spirit" ability to physically enter Johnny Blaze’s soul. There, she discovers the infection is a piece of Leviathan (the Rage of a Dead World), a god-like Spirit of Vengeance from a destroyed previous multiverse.
• The Transformation: To defeat the entity, Kushala must confront her own past—the 1800s massacre of her Apache tribe. By refusing to let her rage consume her, she shrivels the Leviathan; she then consumes the entity, becoming "vengeance complete" and evolving into the Spirit Rider.
• Resolution: After purifying Blaze, Kushala returns to her own era in the 19th century to begin her true legacy as Sorcerer Supreme. 

Key Character: Kushala 

• Background: An Apache woman from the 1800s who became a Ghost Rider after her tribe was slaughtered by the U.S. Army.
• Powers: She is both a Spirit of Vengeance and a Sorcerer Supreme, possessing pyrokinesis (Hellfire manipulation) and mastery over nearly all forms of magic.
• Mount: While she traditionally rides a fiery phantom horse, she is also shown using a Hell Cycle in modern settings.
