Star Wars: Princess Leia # 1 2015 VF/NM

Star Wars: Princess Leia #1, published by Marvel Comics on March 4, 2015, is the first of a five-issue canon miniseries written by Mark Waid and illustrated by Terry Dodson. 

Plot & Storyline

Set immediately following the medal ceremony at the end of A New Hope, the issue explores Leia’s struggle to find her place in the Rebellion after the destruction of her home planet, Alderaan. 

• The Mission: Leia feels sidelined by the Rebel leadership, who view her as too valuable a symbol to risk in combat.
• A New Ally: She teams up with Evaan Verlaine, a talented X-wing pilot and fellow Alderaanian who initially views Leia as "cold" for not openly mourning their world.
• The Quest: Defying Admiral Ackbar and the Rebel High Command, Leia and Evaan steal a ship to begin a secret mission to find and protect the surviving Alderaanians scattered across the galaxy before the Empire can hunt them down.
