Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Adaptation # 1 2025 NM

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Adaptation # 1 is the first issue of a five-part Marvel Comics miniseries that finally released on February 26, 2025. Originally slated for 2020 but delayed for five years due to the pandemic, this series completes Marvel's comic adaptations of the sequel trilogy. 

Plot & New Content

Written by Jody Houser and illustrated by Will Sliney, the adaptation follows the events of the final film but includes new scenes and expanded material not seen on screen. 

• The Threat: Poe Dameron discovers the return of an ancient Sith threat, while the Resistance prepares for a final stand against the First Order.
• Rey & Kylo: The issue explores Kylo Ren's internal turmoil and his search for the Sith Wayfinder on Mustafar, while Rey continues her Jedi training under General Leia.
• Extended Scenes: Highlights include more detailed looks at Kylo's mask reconstruction and additional internal monologues for Rey that provide deeper insight into her character.

• Reading Companion: Marvel recommends reading this alongside Charles Soule’s Legacy of Vader series, which also launched in February 2025.
