Stryfe's Strike File # 1 is a one-shot tie-in comic published by Marvel Comics in January 1993 (with a November 1992 release date) that serves as an addendum to the "X-Cutioner's Song" crossover event. The issue provides in-universe dossiers from the perspective of the villain Stryfe, offering detailed biographies of various X-Men allies and enemies.
In the aftermath of Stryfe's attempt to assassinate Professor Charles Xavier and the subsequent events of "X-Cutioner's Song", Professor X comes into possession of a compact disc containing all of Stryfe's personal files. The comic itself is presented as a "look inside the mind" of the villain.
The main narrative thrust is that Professor Xavier reads through these detailed dossiers on characters like Cyclops, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Magneto, Apocalypse, and Mister Sinister. These files not only recap existing character information but also feature "first appearances" and foreshadow upcoming X-Men storylines, such as the Legacy Virus, the return of Magneto, the debut of the Upstarts, and the eventual death of Illyana Rasputin.
Ultimately, Professor X decides not to share the dark and potentially damaging information he learns about the X-Men's future and their shared past with the team, and he destroys the disc. This keeps the information a secret from the other X-Men and from the reader in the main continuity for a time.
