Suicide Squad Most Wanted: El Diablo and Boomerang # 1 is an oversized anthology one-shot published on August 10, 2016. Released to coincide with the 2016 Suicide Squad film, the issue features two separate solo stories spotlighting these core members of Task Force X. 

• El Diablo: "Home Again"
  Chato Santana receives a sudden, unexpected pardon from Belle Reve, much to the annoyance of Amanda Waller. Returning to his old neighborhood in East Los Angeles, he finds his family under threat from a lethal, super-powered gang leader named Bloodletter. The confrontation ultimately draws the attention of Checkmate, a secretive metahuman black ops organization.
• Captain Boomerang: "What Goes Around Comes Around, Part 1"
  During a mission in a small South American nation, a tactical error leads the Squad to accidentally leave Boomerang behind while they flee a failed operation. Trapped alone in a hostile country with an entire army hunting him, Boomerang must use his survival skills and wit to stay alive until he can find a way home. He eventually forms a reluctant team-up with a young metahuman named Breaker.
