This issue is a major turning point for the DC Universe, following the massive DC K.O. event. With the original Superman currently missing, a very unexpected "hero" has arrived to fill the void.
Superman #36: "Prime Time"
The issue kicks off a new storyline titled "Reign of the Superboys," a meta-nod to the classic '90s "Reign of the Supermen" arc.
- The New Lead: Superboy-Prime takes center stage. Historically one of DC's most dangerous villains, he is now attempting to prove he can be a "real hero" just like the Superman he used to admire.
- The Story: Written by Joshua Williamson, the plot follows Prime as he moves into a crappy apartment in Metropolis and takes a job at a comic book store. He has to navigate a world that still remembers his past crimes while dealing with threats like Ignition.
- The Art: Superstar artist Dan Mora returns to the title, providing high-energy, action-packed interiors alongside Alejandro Sánchez’s vibrant colors.
