Realizing that even he is somewhat in the dark about his distant family tree, Clark slips away and flies to the Fortress of Solitude. There, he meets up with his cousin, Supergirl (Kara Zor-El). Together, they board a spacecraft and travel to the planet Rokyn—the world where the shrunken bottle city of Kandor was recently restored to its normal physical size.

Upon arriving, they are warmly greeted by surviving Kryptonians, including Supergirl’s parents (Zor-El and Allura) and their cousin Van-Zee. Van-Zee leads Superman and Supergirl into a grand, high-tech memorial vault dedicated to the history of the House of El. As they walk past majestic statues, they recount the tales of their prominent ancestors:

• Tala-El: A pioneering historical diplomat and scientist who helped author the planet's early peaceful treaties.
