Core Plot & Synopsis

Five years in the future, Diana Prince has fully embraced her mantle as the God of War to protect humanity. However, this leaves her uniquely vulnerable to Nemesis, the goddess of retribution and the personification of conflict. Nemesis manipulates the global prayers of a warring humanity, driving the Amazons to the brink of failure and corrupting Diana's mind.

Superman (Kal-El) arrives on Mount Olympus to save her. He initially fears she has lost her sanity to Nemesis' influence, but Diana reveals she has a desperate counter-strategy. She explains that when Nemesis initiated the war, the villain's first act was to assassinate the Goddess of Peace. Without peace, Diana was naturally trapped in an endless cycle of war.

Diana shares a poignant parting kiss with Clark before asking him to make the ultimate stand. She tasks him with holding off the endless, invading armies of Nemesis. While Superman buys her time, Diana ventures deep into the tomb of the deceased Goddess of Peace. Her goal is to commune with the goddess's lingering spirit and permanently shed her violent mantle—proving that Wonder Woman was never truly meant to be the God of War, but rather the Goddess of Peace.
