Team Titans # 1 Nightrider Variant 1992 VF

Team Titans #1 (1992) is the debut issue of a spin-off series featuring a radical group of teen heroes from a dystopian future. Originally sent back in time to assassinate Donna Troy to prevent the birth of a global tyrant, the team eventually becomes stranded in the present DC Universe. 

Plot and Origins

The issue is part of the "Total Chaos" crossover event and focuses on establishing the team's dark background. 

• The Mission: The Team Titans originate from an alternate 2001 ruled by Lord Chaos, the god-like son of Donna Troy. They travel to the past to kill Donna before she can give birth, though they ultimately change tactics to stripping her of her powers instead.
• Segmented Origins: The first half of each issue features a unique origin story for one specific member, while the second half contains the same "Total Chaos" story involving a battle between the New Titans and the Team Titans.
• Lord Chaos: The primary antagonist, who is shown taking his own infant self from a pregnant Donna Troy in a realm outside of time.

• Redwing: Carrie Levine, a hero with red wings and her brother's digital consciousness on her wrist.
• Killowat: Charlie Watkins, a former electric-powered recruit for Chaos turned double agent.
• Nightrider: Also known as Dagon.
