The Adventures of the Thing # 3 1992 VF+

The Adventures of the Thing # 3, published by Marvel Comics in June 1992, is the third issue of a reprint mini-series that collects classic stories featuring the Thing. This issue reprints the contents of Marvel Two-in-One #52, and the back-up story from Marvel Two-in-One #53. 

"The Serpent Sheds Its Skin!" 

The main story (from Marvel Two-in-One #52) is the conclusion to an arc featuring Ben Grimm and his temporary teammate, the Power Man (Erik Josten, the original Atlas). 

• The Conflict: The Thing and Power Man are battling the nefarious organization known as the Serpent Squad at a naval base. The squad is attempting to steal sensitive military technology.
• The Resolution: The two heroes defeat the Serpent Squad members in an underwater confrontation, securing the naval base and its technology. The issue concludes the short team-up storyline. 

Back-up Story: "Remembrances!" 

• The issue also includes a short back-up feature (from Marvel Two-in-One #53) that features the Thing reflecting on his history and various adventures.
