The Amazing Spider-Man: Double Trouble #2, published in February 1993, is the second issue of a three-part promotional series focused on anti-drug awareness. It was produced by Marvel Comics in collaboration with the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police and distributed primarily in Canada by the RCMP.

Story Summary: "Double Trouble!"

Written by Dwayne McDuffie with art by Herb Trimpe, the plot follows Peter Parker to a science fair in New Brunswick.

  • The Conflict: While covering an International Junior Science Fair, Peter encounters his old foe, the Chameleon. The villain is targeting a young student named Beth Smith, whose scientific project is being used as a cover for a drug-related scheme.
  • The Message: Like the first issue (Skating on Thin Ice), the story weaves in educational messages about the dangers of drugs and the importance of making positive life choices, often delivered through Spider-Man's interactions with the youth at the fair.
