The Immortal Hulk: Time of Monsters # 1 is a prestige one-shot comic published by Marvel on May 19, 2021. It serves as an essential companion to the Immortal Hulk series, expanding the mythology of the "Green Door" and the "One Below All" by revealing the first recorded host of the Hulk's power. 

Plot & Storyline

• The First Hulk: Set in the Fertile Crescent in 9,500 BCE, the story introduces a young man named Tammuz from a primitive tribe.
• The Sacrifice: During a time of famine, the tribe's elder, Adad, sacrifices Tammuz by kicking him into a glowing green crater caused by a meteorite.
• The Transformation: Exposure to the gamma radiation from the crater forces Tammuz through the Green Door, transforming him into the world's first "original" Hulk—a version far more monstrous and ruthless than Bruce Banner.
• Revenge and Rebirth: After being hunted and partially cannibalized by his own villagers, Tammuz's "immortal" body reconstitutes itself from within the villagers' stomachs, slaughtering them all before embarking on a new path.
