The Joker # 3 2021 NM

The Joker # 3, released on May 11, 2021, is the third issue of the second ongoing The Joker series. Written by James Tynion IV with art by Guillem March, the series is primarily a globe-trotting noir thriller told from the perspective of Jim Gordon as he hunts the Joker. 

• The Hunt Moves to Belize: Following leads from his mysterious benefactor, Cressida, Jim Gordon travels to a resort in Belize.
• Traumatic Flashbacks: The issue opens with a haunting recollection of the events from Batman: The Killing Joke, establishing why Gordon is personally driven to find and potentially kill the Joker.
• Face-to-Face: Gordon successfully tracks the Joker to a private mansion. In a shocking confrontation, he comes face-to-face with the villain, only to be surrounded by the Joker's armed guards.
• The Twist: The Joker reveals he was framed for the "A-Day" attack on Arkham Asylum and warns Gordon that multiple dangerous factions—including the Sampson family and a new female version of Bane named Vengeance—are also closing in to kill him. 
• Prison Conflict: While in Blackgate Penitentiary, Punchline (Alexis Kaye) is attacked by Orca, who was sent by the Queen of Spades.
• The Investigation: Simultaneously, Harper Row (Bluebird) investigates Punchline’s past at her old college. She encounters Aiden Priest, who reveals a darker side to their history before attacking her with paralytic gas and setting her trap on fire.

• Notable First Appearances: This issue features the first cameo/unnamed appearance of Kelly Ness in a photograph, an important figure in Punchline's past.
