The Punisher # 1 2016 NM

The Punisher # 1, published by Marvel Comics on May 4, 2016, marks the beginning of the "On the Road" story arc. Written by Becky Cloonan and illustrated by Steve Dillon, this volume reintroduces Frank Castle as a "force of nature" who remains silent throughout the entire first issue, with the story told through the perspectives of the people around him. 

The series follows Frank as he moves his war on crime out of New York City and "due west" to the Northeast wilderness and Los Angeles. 

• The Mission: After a routine drug bust goes wrong, Frank discovers a new, unstable narcotic called EMC that can create drug-enhanced, super-soldier killers.
