The Toxic Avenger # 5 1991 VF/NM

The Toxic Avenger # 5 (August 1991), published by Marvel Comics, continues the satirical adventures of Toxie. In this issue, Toxie's nemesis, the villainous Mr. Chairman, lures him into a trap at his mansion using Toxie's old love, Linda Giretti, as bait. 

The issue sees the environmental-crime-fighting monster follow a trail set by the corrupt head of Apocalypse, Inc., Mr. Chairman, who seeks to eliminate the one being who can expose his illegal toxic dumping and criminal empire. 

• The Trap: Mr. Chairman, the primary antagonist of the series, orchestrates a plan to capture or kill the Toxic Avenger. He uses Linda Giretti, the blind girl Toxie loves, as leverage.
• The Confrontation: Lured to the Chairman's mansion on the hill, the Toxic Avenger must navigate the traps set within.
• The Outcome: The confrontation leads to a battle as Toxie fights to save Linda and bring Mr. Chairman to justice. A separate synopsis mentions a different primary antagonist in this issue, Dr. Chemo, sending the villain Biohazard after Toxie, leading to a fight at a flower show. In either case, the issue moves the broader narrative of Toxie cleaning up Tromaville forward.
