Titans Special # 1 2018 NM

Titans Special #1, released on June 13, 2018, is a 48-page one-shot written by Dan Abnett that reboots the team following the events of Dark Nights: Metal and Justice League: No Justice. The issue serves as the "zero issue" for a new era where Nightwing assembles a Justice League-sanctioned team to handle metahuman crises caused by the shattering of the Source Wall. 

Plot Synopsis

• The Mission: After a young woman's powers go out of control with fatal results, Nightwing realizes the world needs a specialized team to respond to "Emergents"—people whose metagene has been spontaneously triggered by energy leaking from the broken Source Wall.
• The Recruitment: Nightwing rejects the Justice League's suggested roster and handpicks his own team based on shared history and specific needs. He recruits Raven, Beast Boy (whose powers are fluctuating), Donna Troy, and Natasha Irons (Steel).
• The Monitor: Martian Manhunter insists on adding a supervisor to the team, leading to the inclusion of Miss Martian, creating immediate tension regarding her role as a "handler" for the group.
