Ultimate Spider-Man #86 (2006) marks the beginning of the five-part "Silver Sable" story arc. Written by Brian Michael Bendis with art by Mark Bagley, it introduces the mercenary Silver Sable and her elite team, the Wild Pack, to the Ultimate Universe. 

Plot Summary

The story centers on a case of mistaken identity after Spider-Man repeatedly thwarts attacks on Roxxon Corporation. 

• The Roxxon Contract: Following a battle where Spider-Man stops the mutant Omega Red from destroying a Roxxon cargo ship, Donald Roxxon hires Silver Sable and her Wild Pack to capture the wall-crawler for questioning.
• The Surveillance: Sable’s team tracks Spider-Man to Midtown High School but struggles to pin down his exact civilian identity.
• The Kidnapping: Misinterpreting their surveillance data, the Wild Pack ambushes and stuns a student they believe is Spider-Man.
• The Twist: They wake the captive in a warehouse, only to realize they have actually kidnapped Flash Thompson. After Silver Sable realizes Flash is definitely not the superhero, she knocks him unconscious and leaves to restart the hunt.
