Vampirella: the Dark Powers #1 Cover C NM-

Vampirella: the Dark Powers #1 is the first issue of a Dynamite Entertainment comic book series that launches a "cosmic saga" where Vampirella is recruited into an interdimensional superhero team called The Project. 

The main premise of the issue revolves around Vampirella joining the Pan-Plural Project, an interdimensional collective of superheroes tasked with monitoring and protecting the multiverse. The core conflicts in the first issue are: 

• Vampirella's Nature vs. Teamwork: Vampirella is a lone operative who is not used to working in a team or adhering to typical superhero rules, particularly the "no-killing" rule. Her inherent violent nature and difficulty fitting in with the other heroes is a major source of tension.
• The Anticlan Mission: In her first mission, a terrorist organization called the Anticlan attacks the U.S. Treasury. Ignoring team orders to capture them, Vampirella goes it alone and kills all the enemy soldiers.
• Evolving Bioweapon Threat: Vampirella missed a crucial part of the briefing: the Anticlan uses "evolving BioTech" that resurrects their soldiers in a more powerful form each time they are killed. Her actions inadvertently cause the dead mooks to merge into a stronger, more feral monster, making the situation worse and forcing her team to intervene to permanently destroy the evolving AI.
