Venom #252 released on December 3, 2025, is an extra-sized milestone issue featuring a major status quo shift: the debut of a new red-and-blue "Spider-Man" suit for the symbiote. The issue serves as both a conclusion to the S.C.A.R. saga and an homage to the legendary Amazing Spider-Man #252 (1984), which originally introduced Peter Parker's black costume.

Core Storylines

The issue is split into three distinct tales featuring different creative teams:

  • "Winning the Hearts of New York": Written by Al Ewing with art by Paco Medina. Mary Jane Watson, currently bonded with the Venom symbiote, adopts a red-and-blue Spider-Man disguise. While NYC citizens embrace this "new" hero, a chaotic and emotionally spiraling Doctor Octopus is easily tricked by the ruse. The story concludes with Mayor Luke Cage and other symbiote allies like Toxin and Anti-Venom running Doc Ock out of town.
  • "Eddie Parker: Your Friendly Neighborhood Symbiote": Written by Jordan Morris with art by Jesús Saíz. This story explores the origins of an alternate-universe Venom, Eddie Parker (Earth-8294), who first appeared in Battleworld #3. It details his bond with a symbiote named Pete and their comedic, heroic hijinks.
  • "Parallel Lies!": A flashback story by the classic Amazing Spider-Man #252 team, writer Tom DeFalco and artist Ron Frenz. Set during Peter Parker's original black-suit era, it shows the symbiote joyriding in Peter's sleeping body while Eddie Brock attempts to catch a more "murderous" Spider-Man on film for his career.
