Following their survival of a previous ambush, Betty Brant continues her mission to kill the Foreigner to avenge the death of her husband, Ned Leeds (the original Hobgoblin).

• Infiltration: After dark, Betty sneaks into the Foreigner’s New Jersey complex heavily armed with weapons and machine guns.
• The Death Squad: The Foreigner anticipates the attack and deploys a new high-tech "Death Squad" consisting of Pulse, Whisper (now called Silence), Swift, and Warfare. These are replacement agents conditioned with suicidal programming.
• The Reveal: During the conflict, the Foreigner reveals over a video screen that he murdered Ned Leeds because he was the Hobgoblin.
• The Resolution: Betty and Spider-Man escape the complex just before it is destroyed in an explosion. Betty finally apologizes to Spider-Man for blaming him over the years for Ned's death.
