Wolverine # 50 1992 VF/NM

Wolverine # 50 (volume 2), published in January 1992 (though often listed as a 1991 publication year due to the cover date system), is a double-sized issue titled "Dreams of Gore!" that focuses on Wolverine confronting his past and the Weapon X program. In it, Wolverine discovers the location where his memory implants were created and battles the Shiva robot, a key new character introduced in the issue. 

• Investigating the Past: Aided by Forge and the X-Men (Professor X, Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Jubilee), Wolverine tracks down information regarding the Weapon X program, leading him to a warehouse in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
• False Memories: Inside the warehouse, he finds elaborate sets designed to create and alter memories, confirming that many of his fragmented and traumatic memories, such as the cabin he shared with Silver Fox or the fight with the revolutionary who looked like her, were likely false implants.
• The Shiva Protocol: Professor Thorton, one of the scientists from the original Weapon X project, activates the "Shiva Scenario," unleashing a massive, mechanical robot called Shiva. This robot is specifically programmed to hunt down and terminate all renegade members of the Weapon X program, learning from its defeats and continuously upgrading itself.
• Confrontation and Revelation: As Wolverine fights the robot, Silver Fox (now the leader of a Hydra cell) attacks Professor Thorton. During the chaos, Shiva's attack triggers a flood of genuine memories and trauma in Wolverine, but he manages to overcome the pain and destroy the robot. Silver Fox kills Professor Thorton, and the X-Men realize that the Shiva program has activated all other Shiva robots, which are now chanting Sabretooth's name, marking him as the next target.
• Costume Change: The issue is also notable as one of the first times Wolverine's character is depicted back in his classic yellow and blue costume in his solo series, a shift from his brown costume worn previously.
