Wolverine # 52 1992 NM-

Wolverine # 52 (volume 2), published in March 1992, is the second part of a three-issue storyline titled "The Crunch Conundrum". The issue centers on Wolverine, Mystique, and Spiral traveling through time to the "Crunch" (the end of the universe), while Mojo kidnaps Jubilee in the present. 

• A Temporal Warning: The issue begins with Spiral interrupting Wolverine and Mystique in their motel room to warn them that someone in the future is after them, making them vulnerable in their current time.
• Plasma Wraiths: A creature called a Plasma Wraith emerges from a painting in the room and attacks, but Wolverine and Spiral quickly destroy it.
• Journey to the End of Time: Spiral explains that the entire space-time continuum is at risk and creates a time travel vortex to escape the immediate danger. They emerge an hour before "the Crunch," the end of the universe.
• Mojo's Plan: In the future, they face a stronger Plasma Wraith. Mystique realizes the creature is spouting movie lines and belongs to Mojo, who is trying to manipulate the "Crunch" for his sick form of entertainment. Mystique distracts the wraith by shifting into Mojo's form, allowing them to destroy it.
• Jubilee Captured: Back in the present, Jubilee is nearly caught in the vortex. As she enters the now-empty motel room, she is confronted by Mojo, who captures her with the help of his minion Abcissa and teleports them away.
• The Adamantium Skeleton: In a secondary plotline, the robotic duo Albert and Elsie-Dee, along with the Hunter in Darkness, are in Canada near the Weapon X facility. Following the Hunter's lead, they dig into an ancient Native burial mound and shockingly discover a skeleton laced with Adamantium, complete with claws jutting from its hands.
