Wolverines # 1 2015 VF+

Wolverines # 1, published on January 7, 2015, is the first issue of a 20-part weekly series that serves as a direct sequel to the Death of Wolverine. It follows a disparate group of Wolverine's closest allies and greatest enemies as they deal with the vacuum left by his passing. 

Following the events of Death of Wolverine, The Logan Legacy, and The Weapon X Program, Logan's body is encased in a solid block of adamantium. This "artifact" becomes the center of a brewing war as various factions seek to claim it for its power and rarity. 

• The Team: A ragtag group is forced into an uneasy alliance, including X-23 (Laura Kinney), Sabretooth, Mystique, Daken, and Lady Deathstrike.
• The Conflict: These characters find themselves being manipulated by Mystique and a group of escapees from the "Paradise" facility (failed Weapon X experiments like Shogun, Neuro, and Endo).
• The Mission: The team travels to the ruined Paradise facility to recover Wolverine's adamantium-petrified remains.
• The Twist: Upon locating the body, they are ambushed by the Wrecking Crew. The issue concludes with the sudden intervention of Mr. Sinister, who seizes the body and inflicts severe injuries on Daken.
