Transformers are a race of sentient, living robots from the mechanical planet Cybertron. Known for their ability to "transform" their bodies into vehicles, machinery, or even animals, they are divided into two primary factions: the heroic Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, and the villainous Decepticons, led by Megatron. 

The Energon Universe (Comics)

The most active storytelling currently takes place in the Energon Universe, a shared comic book continuity from Skybound Entertainment: 

• Third Anniversary: March 2026 marks the third anniversary of this universe. Special interconnecting variant covers by Tom Reilly are being released for Transformers #33, G.I. Joe #23, and Void Rivals #31.
• Major Crossovers: In the comics, Optimus Prime and Duke are scheduled to meet for the first time in the February/March 2026 issues of G.I. Joe.
