Gun Honey Doubles Down # 0 FCBD 2026 NM-

Gun Honey – Doubles Down #0 FCBD 2026 is a special prequel one-shot released on May 2, 2026 by Titan Comics and the Hard Case Crime imprint. Written by series creator Charles Ardai with interior illustrations by Ace Continuado, the issue serves as a direct prologue setting up the events of the four-issue summer miniseries Gun Honey: Doubles Down.

The Plot & Setup

The story follows the series' signature lethal protagonist, weapons smuggler Joanna Tan (the "Gun Honey"):

• The Kremlin Mission: Joanna is approached with a massive $10 million contract to pull off an impossible job—smuggling a firearm directly into the heavily fortified Kremlin in Moscow.
• The Dangerous Ally: To navigate the deadly security measures and pull off the heist, Joanna is forced to reconnect with and enlist the aid of a beautiful former lover.
• The Fallout: The events of this prelude lead directly into a botched assassination attempt on the Russian dictator. In the main series, this failure causes three identical body doubles of the dictator to scatter across Siberia, Finland, and the Black Sea, leaving Joanna with the task of hunting down the real target among them.

Collector & Series Notes

• Prequel Status: Designated as issue #0, this standalone pulp noir thriller provides essential lore backing for Volume 4 of the Gun Honey franchise.
• Content Advisory: Consistent with the rest of the Hard Case Crime lineup, this issue is strictly intended for Mature Readers (17+) due to its risky themes, violence, and suggestive noir content.
