Lazarus Planet: Assault on Krypton #1 2023 NM-

Lazarus Planet: Assault on Krypton #1, released on January 17, 2023, is a prestige-format anthology one-shot tie-in to DC’s Lazarus Planet event. The issue explores how the global Lazarus volcano eruption affects characters linked to the Superman mythos, featuring a mix of established and new heroes. 

Four Vignettes 

The 48-page special contains four short stories detailing personal transformations caused by the Lazarus rain: 

• Dreamer ("Gone Dark"): Nia Nal ventures into the dreamscape of a comatose Batman to find the Helmet of Fate. This story ties directly into the main Lazarus Planet narrative.
• Jon Kent ("The Heist"): While stopping a shoplifter named Ash, Jon Kent is struck by Lazarus lightning. He temporarily gains electric-based powers, a transformation reminiscent of the 1990s "Superman Blue".
• Mercy Graves ("Electric"): Lex Luthor's assistant is transformed into a cyborg after exposure to Lazarus resin and high-tech LexCorp weaponry. She gains technopathic powers similar to "The Engineer" from The Authority.
• Power Girl ("Omen"): Kara Zor-L becomes trapped in a psychic nightmare alongside the telepath Lilith Clay (Omen), where she discovers she has suddenly gained telepathic abilities.
