Nora: The Last Chronicle of Devildom # 1, titled "A Match Made in Hell," is the debut volume of Kazunari Kakei's shonen manga series. Originally published in English by VIZ Media in October 2008, it introduces a supernatural battle-comedy centered on an unlikely partnership between a rebellious demon and a stoic human student. 

Core Premise & Plot 

The story follows Nora, a young, spiky-haired demon who is arguably the most powerful soldier under the Dark Liege (the female ruler of the Underworld) but also the most disobedient. After he defies her orders one too many times, she banishes him to the human world for "educational" purposes to learn discipline. 

• The Contract: Nora is forced into a bond of servitude with Kazuma Magari, a "cool-as-ice" straight-A student and student council president.
• Magic Restriction: To ensure Nora's obedience, the Dark Liege places a magical collar on him. Nora can only use his magic with Kazuma's explicit permission. If Nora misbehaves, Kazuma can simply say "I forbid" to cause the collar to choke him.
• The Mission: The duo is tasked by the Dark Liege with hunting down renegade demon factions (the Resistance) that have entered the human world to cause chaos.

• Nora: An unruly demon who, when his seal is released, transforms into Cerberus, the legendary "vicious dog of disaster".
• Kazuma Magari: A brilliant but bored student who views his peers as inferior and initially treats Nora like a "slave".
